Refund Policy

This policy covers the fee (base ₹1,000) for a preliminary consultation booked with Adv. K Rajesh Kannan, and explains how professional fees for further work are handled.

1. The consultation fee

The preliminary consultation, of about 45 minutes, has a base fee of ₹1,000. For some matters the consultation fee can be higher; the office tells you before the appointment is confirmed. Every consultation is paid. No card or online payment is taken on the Site itself. You message the office on WhatsApp, where the payment details are shared; the fee is paid by UPI (Google Pay or PhonePe) to the advocate’s account, and the appointment is confirmed once it is received.

2. What the fee covers

The fee covers the preliminary consultation only. It is not a fee for a legal opinion, a vakalath, drafting, or appearance in any court or authority.

3. Rescheduling and cancellation by you

You may reschedule or cancel through the link in your confirmation email, or by informing the office. If you have not yet paid, cancelling costs you nothing. If you have paid and inform the office at least 6 hours before the appointment, you may choose a new time or a refund of the fee. If you inform the office later than that, or do not attend, the appointment may be moved to a new time at the office’s discretion, but the fee is not refunded.

4. Cancellation by the office

If the office has to cancel or move your appointment, you will be offered a new time. If you have paid and do not wish to rebook, the fee will be refunded in full.

5. After the consultation

Once the consultation has taken place, the consultation fee is not refundable, as it pays for the advocate’s time and advice at that meeting.

6. Professional fees for further work

If you decide to go ahead with a case or other work, the professional fee depends on the matter and is discussed and agreed with you after the consultation, before the work begins. Court fees, stamp duty and other statutory charges are separate and are explained to you where they apply.

7. Refund method

Any refund due is made to the account or mode through which the payment was made, within a reasonable time.
